Loway announces the release of WombatDialer 16.06

Loway Switzerland, worldwide leading provider of solutions for call-centers, today announced that its most famous dialer software for Asterisk, WombatDialer, exits its "beta" stage and becomes a mature product with version 16.06.

"We want to thank the over 300 sites that have been running WombatDialer in the last three years", said Lorenzo Emilitri, Loway CEO. "They made possible to reach this major milestone, all thanks to their suggestions and bug reports."

Release 16.06 offers significant improvements to the WombatDialer package. They are centered around a major GUI evolution and a significant increase in performance.

The Loway development team did a lot of work on the GUI to improve the quality and ergonomics of the daily interaction with WombatDialer and many relevant changes in the Real-time page.
Also they did a number of changes under the hood, parallelizing logging and improving the database schemas, so that a stock WombatDialer should perform well for systems up to 1000 channels with no need for special configurations.

With the new feature "Adaptive Boosting", WombatDialer will improve agent utilization by 30-50% over fixed overdialing rates by monitoring recent traffic and applying a statistical model on it.
It is only a matter of turning this option on for the campaign, no configuration, no parameters, it just works. And compared to most classic predictive models, it works better even with small agent pools.

Also about 100 bugs and minor issues were fixed by Loway developers.

For detailed information please visit the WombatDialer blog and the official website.

WombatDialer 16.06 is immediately available, as an RPM archive, a tar.gz archive or a preconfigured Docker image. The updated User Manual can also be found on the Downloads page. If you currently have a licensed WombatDialer system, you can upgrade now at no extra cost.

Loway Switzerland Announces Immediate Availability QueueMetrics Call-Center Monitoring Suite Version 15.10

Loway Switzerland announces QueueMetrics Asterisk PBX call-center monitor 15.10.

QueueMetrics 15.10 is a release guided by usability and layout improvements that make the monitoring and management process easier and richer.

This new version supports the brand-new Asterisk 13.6 and introduces the new concepts of tags, features and skills, as optional ways to categorize your ACD traffic.

A "tag" is a specific attribute that splits calls in a queue into mutually-exclusive subgroups. Tags are meant as a general mechanism to replace existing "sub-queues" that keep a clean distinction between the reason why a call was queued and the queue that was used to process it.

A "feature" is a secondary outcome - for example, an agent does not just mark a call as being a sale, but they keep track of busines-relevant attributes you want to monitor. Did the caller accept to be signed up to a mailing list? Now such business goals can be tracked and analyzed.

A "skill" is a specific attribute of a call that requires a special ability to be present at a required grade in the answering agent.

Those new concepts are very powerful and make QueueMetrics call-center stats monitor able to analyze calls at a finer level.

New features include:

  • Support for tracking skill-based routing
  • A walth of new reports and real-time monitoring options
  • Input of feature codes within the Icon agent page
  • New configuration and security-key editors
  • WombatDialer power dialer integration for scheduled recalls on the Agent's page
  • Improved WebRTC softphone
  • Updated layouts.

Loway Switzerland Releases WombatDialer 0.8.0 Easily Build Proactive Customer Care

Loway Switzerland announces that WombatDialer 0.8.0 is finally out. The theme of this brand new release is to make the experience of it smoother, integrating the feedback of its users worldwide.

WombatDialer is currently used in a large number of call-centers worldwide implementing various scenarios - from recalls of lost calls in inbound call-centers, to massive telecasting, to classic outbound scenarios like automated dialing and preview dialing with hundreds of live agents.

The high flexibility of WombatDialer makes it easy to adopt it in existing call-centers and to easily create high value added services for proactive customer care - you call the customer to remind and help him, so he does not have to. This means customers are happy and the call center can organize its works on a predictable workflow.

There are a good number of changes in version 0.8.0:

  • Support to Asterisk 12 and 13 right out of the box. It works on any version of Asterisk PBX since 1.4.
  • It runs more quickly with the optimized database layer. The dialer starts automatically when the system is already configured, so you don't have to remember to do it.
  • Layout notably improved - now it looks way better and there is more information available, especially on the Reports and Live pages.
  • It is able to send e-mails on campaign completions - this feature makes your life easier when running large campaigns that take days to complete.
  • Improved reverse dialing mode - it is possible to set a completion code when rejecting a call, and the agent's channel is automatically disconnected if the call fails.
  • The APIs were improved to set completion codes when rejecting calls, to set extStatus codes through the HTTP interface and to report system health.
  • An automated test suite. Wombat has been tested with over one million calls in telecasting, direct-to-queue and reverse modes. This may not make a direct difference to you but it means that Loway has a way to run predictable stress tests and make sure WD will handle real-life workloads.

Loway also fixed a large number of little bugs here and there - over 80 items were addressed. Together, these fixes make the experience simpler and smoother.

WombatDialer can be installed through yum or it can be installed as a standalone Docker app. The User Manual has a chapter on how to run it under Docker, reaping the benefits of a hassle-free installation and upgrade path.

Loway Announces the Release of the Asterisk Call-Center Customer Satisfaction Survey 2014

Loway Switzerland announces the release of its first call-centre customer satisfaction survey as a free eBook.

According to their corporate philosophy that binds accurate data measurement to relevant business improvements, the Swiss company sent to their customers a survey about the usage of Asterisk and QueueMetrics for their daily needs in call-centers management, analysis and statistics. This was done to assess the perceived needs of existing customers so that future improvements could be prioritized. This is the first professional case study of its kind reported in the contact-center industry for installations based on Asterisk technologies.

Data collection for the survey was done in the period of October and November 2013 and treated as an anonymous online form; not personal information on respondents was collected. Loway did not offer any prize or giveaway to the respondents in order to avoid biasing the sample in their favour and keeping the research as fair as possible.

They had over 150 respondents, ranging from small to very large call-centres. The sample shows that professional users have often started to use GUIs instead of hand-programmed dialplan.

The survey is without any doubt relevant to professionals who creates or manages call-centers with Asterisk PBX. Too often, an Asterisk-based PBX is still perceived as a risky proposition by clients switching from other systems. Definitely Asterisk proved to be a valid platform to build contact centres with, and grants its users an impressive level of customer satisfaction.

The survey 2014 is available for free download at call-center market survey.
